What analytics collects
What Mauvely counts when analytics are on, what it never records, and how to turn it off or delete what was sent.
Analytics are off until you turn them on. mauvely.com asks once, with two answers: Allow or No analytics. Compose and Snap ask the same question the first time they open. Change it any time on the privacy settings page, or in the apps under Settings ▸ Advanced.
What is sent when analytics are on

Every event carries a random identifier made by your browser or app, your country, your platform, the app version and your plan tier. That is the whole envelope.
What is never sent
- Your account, email address or name
- Your IP address or a browser fingerprint
- File names, course titles, or anything you typed
- Error messages
The list of events is closed: the server drops anything it does not recognise rather than storing it. Adding a measurement is a code change, reviewed as one.
Deleting what was sent
The events are not linked to your account, so Mauvely cannot find yours for you. Your browser or app can: Delete what this browser sent on the privacy settings page, or Delete what this install sent in Compose and Snap, removes everything sent under that identifier and asks you again.
Raw events are kept for 45 days and daily totals after that. Mauvely Cloud and Sotto collect no analytics.
