Mauvely Review

Review closes the loop between finishing a course draft and getting sign-off on it. You send a course to review.mauvely.com, share one link, and reviewers comment on the exact lesson and block — threaded, tagged, and resolved one by one as you address them.

Reviewers do not need a Mauvely account. A link is the whole invitation: they open the course, read it as a learner would, and give a name the first time they comment. Review is included in the Pro plan and up.

Sending a course

A course sent to Review is hosted readable — that is what lets someone without an account open it. Cloud’s own storage stays encrypted; the copy in Review is separate and can be deleted with the project.

What a reviewer sees

The course itself, exactly as a learner would, with a Comment button on every block and a comment rail beside the page. Comments sit level with the block they are about and follow it as the page scrolls. A reviewer can reply, agree, tag a comment with the course’s tag set, comment on the course as a whole, resolve a thread they started themselves, and approve the round when they are done. Comments arrive the moment they are posted — there is nothing to submit.

If the author set a password, the course asks for it first. A confidentiality notice, on by default, asks reviewers to acknowledge the course is not public before it opens.

The author’s workspace

The workspace shows the course, an outline with per-lesson and per-block comment counts, and the same anchored rail. Threads carry tags (editable per course), assignment, an activity log and image attachments. Filters cover open and resolved, free-text search, tags and reviewers. A bell collects new comments, replies, mentions and round approvals; the same notices can arrive by email, controlled from the share dialog.

Links and invites

One share link is live per project. Creating a new one revokes the old — that is how you cut off a link that travelled further than you meant. The link URL is shown once, when it is made.

Invites are personal: Invite by email sends one reviewer their own door, revocable on its own and unaffected by rotating the share link. The share dialog lists who was invited, who opened, who commented and who approved.

Rounds

Sending the same course again starts a new round. Reviewers keep the same link and see the new version; comments from earlier rounds stay, marked with the round they were made in. Compare rounds shows what changed block by block — edited, added, removed — and marks a change that answers an earlier open comment. A due date, set in the share dialog, is shown to reviewers and can send a reminder two days out to anyone who has not commented.

Boundaries

• Review is web-only. The workspace needs a Mauvely account; the reviewer page needs a link.
• Reviewer names are whatever the reviewer typed. They are not verified accounts.
• A signed-in Mauvely user reviewing a course is asked for a name like anyone else.
